No Original Apex deck is the same. Unlike a lot of longboards in the market, each Original Apex deck is individually pressed, hand made, one at a time. Like fingerprints and snowflakes, each board has its own identity. Apex Technology employs our custom carbon fiber/fiberglass technology which has some level of texture or “grain” as we call it. The amount of grain in these boards is directly related to this type of board- more complex concave decks require greater pressure and strain to create- and as a result those boards generally show more “grain” when finished.
